Hi Guys,
I was just wondering if most of those decks sold at future shop or bestbuy would fit in the stock head unit area, of course with a double din casing.
I was specifically looking at this headunit: http://www.amazon.com/Power-Acoustik-Receiver-Flip-Out-Touchscreen/dp/B0051GN8JI
Please let me know your input and thanks for your help in advance.
Thanks

Anything will fit, it just depends on the amount of customization you're willing to go through to make it look good.
I've installed single and double DINs on many vehicles and depending on the size of the stock radio will actually determine whether or not you'll need a dash kit or not.
Mazda's deck is much bigger than a double DIN from the facia, however the actual size of the radio behind the dash is a double DIN.
Most dash kit you buy will work for double and single din radios and each one is specific to the design of the dash. Essentially your new deck will be smaller than stock, but the dash kits help take up that extra real estate to make it look good without all of those crevices or open spots.
I don't have any experience with pop out decks, but I imagine that the radio itself from the picture is a single DIN or slightly larger, so you would really just need a normal mounting kit like the one you can get from (Scosche or Metra) or if you're good with fibreglass make your own (don't recommend this method).
TL;DR: Appears to be a single DIN unit. Buy any mounting kit to make it look good.

After reading about that deck it says it fits for a single din opening. So you can buy any dash kit for around $30 that will work with single or double DIN openings.
Id advise checking crutchfield.can for decks too.... spend over $169 on a deck and they send you the wiring harness, antenna adapter, and dash kit for free. Something to consider but if you like that one go for it.

Or eBay. I bought my amp from a member, and the deck subs from futureshop. Than the wiring kit (minus amp wire and steering wheel control) of eBay in a kit
Had to re-read the thread title because I read it wrong the first time....
