MOM Westside Pre-Meet Discussion

In this thread, you can discuss plans for the pre-meet for the Westside.

Note that the Eastside pre-meet will be cruising to this meet first, prior to going to the Meet of the Mazdas.

I live at Yonge and Eglin Mills so, I would go to the West side meet. Which AMC should we meet, cause someone mixed up the place at yesterday meet.

I won\'t prepare any food, cause I don\'t know what kind of food you guy want, so I would bring some pops, water if you want to.

I\'m going to print both locations off and leave them in my glovebox so I don\'t make that mistake twice. :P

I should be going to MOM if I\'m not busy.. which I shouldn\'t be. 90% sure so far.

Which way are the Eastside guys coming from? (401/QEW, I know they come from the east).

We can have the Westside pre-meet at Oakville Place or Bronte GO, which are closer to the QEW and pretty much on everyone\'s way to Hamilton for MOM.

We eastsiders will probably come straight across the 401. Unless it\'s shut down again. Then we\'ll detour through downtown.

As for how we get to MOM... It depends if we want the direct route or the indirect route.

Direct route is straight out the 401 to Guelph Line Then down and over to Valens. Distance is about 60km... (43km Highway, 17km regional roads)


Indirect route is 403, QEW, Guelph line up to Valens. Distance is About 80KM (55km highway, 25km Regional roads)


The benifit of regional roads is that they are two lane roads. Once we get on it we will be a nice line that no one can pass.

Even going the long way we should roll into Valens by 11:30, if we leave the westside meet at 10:30

Oh ok I thought it\'s in Hamilton. If so then probably meet along the 401 in Mississauga/Milton would be better. Meadowvale GO or Milton GO.

Nothing wrong with AMC Courtney Park but it\'s less travel for Oakville/Burlington members if we meet at the above GO lots, and they aren\'t busy in weekends.

I like the AMC location because it is a bit closer to those who live in Brampton and Etobicoke. But if you people want to meet elsewhere, pick a parking lot, and I\'ll be there :p

I say AMC Courtney Park. We all Know where it is and i think it makes a nice cruise to the meet. If we meet in Milton the cruise will only be half the distance

I updated the link for the directions. The zipcode they have listed and the actual address don\'t match up. wtom was the only one who spotted that :)
