I'm not really one to give special attention to the passing of a celebrity as they are human just like anyone else. But this one is hitting hard.

R.I.P. He was one of the greats. He really was. Could do serious and comedy roles no problem and was hilarious with stand up comedy. He will be missed for sure!

One of the articles I read mentioned that he was battling with severe depression recently, and the cause of death was a suicide caused from asphyxia.

Very sad. R.I.P.

Grew up watching him and I am very sad that he is gone. If this speculation comes to fruition that he did indeed commit suicide due to severe depression, then please I beg all of you that know someone that is suffering from this terrible disease to reach out to them with help and support. Depression can affect anyone, as you can see, with devastating effects.

R.I.P Robin, you will be greatly missed. Hope you can have peace now

RIP. Just like soo many here, I also grew up watching his comedies. Mrs.Doubtfire and Jumanji were my fav along with soo many more. This just sucks!!

Grew up watching him from the days of Mork and Mindy to his movies such as Good Will Hunting and Night at the Museum. He will be missed.

Anyway the thing to take away from all of this is that if you or someone you know are or think you are suffering from depression, go get help. There's alot of places to get help out there and you gotta take that bull by the horns before it's too late

I've had someone I grew up with hang themselves and my wife's friends sister hang themself and you would have never known what was going on inside their heads

Yea, sometimes the people that go through this heavy depression are the ones you least expect (ie the ones that seem all jolly and well on the outside). Came across a cool quote today somewhere, can't remember where I saw it. Went along the lines of: "everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always"
