I have a 07 Mazda3 with the aux input throught the armrest. However for a long time now it hasn't worked properly....you have to constantly twist the aux wire to get both the left and right channels working -if you can get them to work at all!

THe only references to this I have found refer to installing a new aux from scratch - which I would prefer not to do.

Has anyone encountered this problem or know of a replacement guide? It might even be that's theres something wrong witht eh input itself - maybe a input wire was rippedout tofast and just needs to be replaced.

Your advice is appreciated - thanks

Did you change your auxillary cord? Sometimes they screw up after a while and do that. If not maybe find another 07-09 at the wreckers with the auxillary and switch it out. Mine worked fine up until I switched to aftermarket.

yeah if you have to twist the wire and move it around, your cable's likely gone. test another one that you know is to be good (test it in another vehicle) and if it too is flaky, just pop the little aux panel out of your console, perhaps there's a break in that wire.

Ya, I beleive there's defeintely soething wrong with the input - I've tried different Wires connected to my phone and other devices and the common problem is the actually aux input. Turning the wire in the hols is the only way to get the channels to work (and very rarely at that).

Anyone know if I can order another from the dealership? Or a "how To" on how to take the arm rest consol aprt ?
Thanks
