so if you follow me on instagram you probably know what this is about if not i shall tell the tale, anyways i park my car on my street in front of my house sometimes and someone decided to steal shit off my car in broad daylight infront of my house and if that wasn't a big enough slap in the face they also left me a couple of dings on my driver side fender , i have a video security system which captures the act but sadly the resolution isnt the greatest. Can someone help me edit the video or somehow increase the resolution to make out this kids bike and face? it'd be greatly appreciated :)

Why not provide the video to the police? See if they can do something with it?

How do you increase the resolution? If the raw data isn't very clear then I think you're sol

This isn't csi where they enhance a reflection in a puddle to see a dude's sunglasses to then enhance a reflection in the sunglasses to see the face of the killer

I think it's to petty to where they won't bother , and thanks Loki I'm aware this is reality and not csi I was just taking a shot in the dark.

Then double the resolution to see the killer's license plate the background.

Put your video on a tablet or computer and show it to some of the neighbours and kids. Find out where the kid lives and do the adult thing and steal stuff off the kid's bike. Karma.

You can try putting it in After Effects. Scale the image and sharpen/remove the grain the best you can. Might help a tiny bit.

You can also take a screenshot and try to remove the noise/sharpen a bit in PS. There are also plugins that help upscale lower resolution images, but as mentioned above if your raw data isn't the greatest to begin with, you might be out of luck :/
