We can! I learned a hell of a lot from HFH, and MX-5/25 . Stay tuned. That sai, 25th anniversary, 1200+ cars, from as afar away as Newfoundland and Brazil.
Short term event likely 9/28
Longer term MoM is going to be 100, 000 times more interesting
Next HFH type event, I already am working on two new idea.
Also, people remind me next week to post about a few awesome cars. E-miata that puts 255 HP full electric, and 0-60 n 4 sec. Flyin Miata Mx-5 over 500 HP. Blackbox "Creampuff" most HP of any MX-5 here..f'n beast is an understatement.
Pics/Stories/Video coming to a thread near you.

I wish, but no. Only two people drove the car a short distance.
I did get to take an MX-5 out on the track though

Probably pretty tedious to set up.
It took time to set up the original design, but setting up all the cars day of ? Was done in a few hours.
We had a surveyor come in the day before the event, and draw lines for the design itself. Then we put stakes in the ground with ribbon between the stakes to create a barrier. We then had cars line up surrounding the stakes. Finally, once all the cars were in place, pull the stakes, and the result is the image you see above.
We had all the cars arrive in groups ranging in size from ~30-80 that were pre-set. We had each group leader, bring a master registration sheet for the group they ran. We had an independent verification team that would double check the cars/numbers/etc before the group leader brought the master list forward.

Also a big thank you to @rzapta for building the design spec. I provided the concept, car measurements, and space we had to work with, and Riz built the design we used in CAD.
