On an old car, I used to just use the scissor jack that just came in the trunk of the car to do my summer/winter tire changeovers on my own schedule since the shops are usually so busy. But that was a bit slow and the scissor jack doesn't feel all that secure. So, with my stock height mazda3 I was thinking to get a floor jack. Can anyone recommend a floor jack to use? I guess I would need some fancy saddle like this one http://www.princessauto.com/pal/en/Floor-transmission/Powerfist-Floor-Jack-Saddle/1090014.p to protect against destroying those pinch weld lift points. What do you guys use?
Is a low profile one needed to get to the front and rear cross member to lift 2 wheels at a time?
Also, any guidence on the jack points on a gen3 would be nice. I looked through http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?71460-Jack-Points-and-Jack-Stand-Placement-%28Definitive-%29/page2 and in the manual on page (7-8) there's a picture of the side rails with 2 holes though I don't quite see these holes when I looked under the car.
