Was just driving around the city, and all of a sudden the song playing from my USB froze. After a minute or two it just went to the radio. About a minute later I pressed the Nav button and it told me only the compass was enabled and that i would need to see the dealer to have my nav enabled. I re-inserted the usb and it the system didnt see it.

Turned the car off for 2 or 3 minutes, and after a long loading screen, everything worked again. The version is 33.00.500

Little concerned about this seeing as i only picked up this car up from Mazda of Toronto around a week ago.

this is a common issue, I had the same problem with mine for months and eventually had Mazda replace the entire entertainment system. It still likes to freeze for a couple seconds while using the USB but it dosnt restart anymore. Take it back to Mazda and tell them about the issue

@2014GTowner Any issues with it after it was replaced? And are there any charges you had to pay for this or is it covered by the warranty? Thanks for the response!

the system still takes a moment to load the next song if I'm switching quickly but no it has not froze like it used to or restarted. It was all under warrenty, but it did take me 4-5 times of them installing updates/wiping the system to get to the point of installing a new one.

Thanks for the info. Going to call them tomorrow to get them to look at it.

no problem, hopefully it gets fixed quickly for you! I think the entertainment system is the only part of my 3 that I don't like. Wish Mazda had of partnered with a different company.

I actually really like the nav system, but yeah you can tell the rest of it is fairly buggy. The issue is that the nav system depends on the SD card which was a really cheap way to go.
