I've posted a few times about my total dissatisfaction with Mazda of Brampton (purchase and service), but I did have a positive experience that I wanted to share, to be fair.

I had some rust forming on the vertical seam of my driver's side door. I had purchased the rust protection package with my car and have dutifully taken it back every two years for inspections as the rustproofing contract required. In May I took the car in and showed them the rust. They took pics and told me they'd submit all the required info to Pro Tech Seal, the company that provided the rustproofing material.

I'll gloss over the fact that they didn't really respond or follow up very well so I ended up connecting with Pro Tech Seal personally and driving the case forward. Long story short, Pro Tech declined the claim, saying the rust wasn't forming in a place they claimed to protect etc. etc. But Mazda of Brampton stepped up and said that since I purchased the rustproofing and complied with the terms of the agreement they'd cover the repair!

So..

Never mind that I asked them for an estimate to repaint my bumper (scratches and stone chips) while they had my car and didn't provide me with one (they're working on it and will email it to me, but the point was they could paint the bumper at the same time while they had my car)..
Never mind that I didn't get a response from them to check the CEL that lit up while I was driving into their dealership, so long as they wouldn't charge me a diag fee..
Never mind that I brought it to their attention in May and I just picked up my car with the rust fixed TODAY, Oct. 3..

In the end, they helped me out not because they were obligated to, but because they (namely Bruce) just wanted to do the right thing. So, props to them!
