Hey guys,
Got a 2010 MS3.

I recently bought a pair of LED's to change the MAP lights in my car which were successful and looking super good :)
But the dome light wont turn on when its on door mode or even just on the ON mode as well.
I checked the Bulb, it's perfectly fine, I also checked the fuse which is the (INTERIOR LIGHT) Fuse 15AMP which is good aswell..
I also tried to change the bulb to the old MAP light and still no good..

Is the problem occurring because there isn't a even distribution of power between the Map and Dome because I have 2 Led's for the map and just a regular bulb for the dome?
Would love some help!

Thanks!

Try checking the ROOM fuse as well. I believe that's what controls the interior dome/map lights; at least for Gen1's. I had a similar issue, and sure enough, turned out my 15A ROOM fuse was blown.

Room fuse is good and well.

Might as well bring it back to the mazda dealer in Ajax, i think they forgot to plug the switch back in when they installed the sunroof..

it wouldn't be their first forgetting to put back things back properly!

Take it back to the dealer. Tell them to fix it. I've never heard of a dealer installing a moon roof. Was it sent out to be done?

Hey guys. I fixed it. It wasn't plugged in properly. But now I have another problem. Can't seem to put it back.. The clips are it but it's still loose and won't shut close..

Won't shut close meaning when I put the whole assembly back in the whole, doesn't lock in.. Can still put it out.. :(

Can you visually see if there are any retaining clips that are broken or missing?

I think the simplest way would to just tape the connections or buy some tap connectors and join the wires together.

I think you are in a little bit of trouble, If memory serves Mazda has some cockamamie way of installing the dome light. If you pull the whole assembly out like you have it is practically impossible to reinstall the thing properly without dropping the headliner. I did read in some forum( though I cannot recall which one) where a person had devised some clever way of getting it back without taking down the headliner.

Its good practice to inspect the general vicinity where work is done to your car for any things that were broken/changed after bringing your car in but before you leave the lot.

Its a lot easier to mention that they broke something else while doing the work when you haven't taken possession of the car.

Glad ya got it working.
