View Full Version : Mouse in my truck

I have a pair of gloves that I leave in my truck for those chilly mornings. Today, I didn't wear them, but they were sitting on the passenger seat. I noticed a little bit of brown, but my gloves are grey. So I take a peek, and there's a mouse inside my glove!
It was frozen solid, though, so it must have been there overnight.
Now, I'm almost positive that mouse wasn't in my gloves last night on my drive home. I likely would have felt some nibbling on my fingers.
How did it get into my truck?

My guess is through the firewall somewhere.
Does your truck have cab vents? I I know a mouse could probably squeeze through the ones on my Dakota.
Poor little bugger was probably trying to stay warm. I'd chuck those gloves if I were you tho. Or at least wash them damn well.

Gloves are already in the trash.
Where are the cab vents? Should I be looking from the inside or outside? Under the truck?
I already took a peek at the cabin air filters and it is still intact.

Cab vents are located at the very back of the cab behind the seats.

Not all trucks have them tho.

The mouse probably jimmied your door with a slim jim.
On a more informational note: Mice carry almost no disease and those few that they may, have little to mild effect on humans.
