Hello all,
I recently took my car to jimmy for a cluster of issues I'm experiencing with my 07 Speed3. He diagnosed my driver side headlight issue last night as it had been out for the past week or so. The ballast has short circuited due to the condensation and moisture in the housing. Now i'm looking for options to fix or replace the broken housing and to purchase a new ballast either used OEM or Aftermarket.
I've indulged the Search option but it's just an overload of information. I was quoted $560+tax for the housing and 410+tax for the ballast from the dealer. There is no way in hell I can spend that kind of money replacing one headlight.
So basically I'm looking for options...feel free to make any suggestions or atleast point me in the right direction. I'm open to aftermarket headlights, or preferably if anyone has or knows of a used housing and ballast for sale somewhere to help bring the price down it would be much appreciated.
