Title says it all. I seafoam my car through the induction lines yesterday, but I don't see how that would cause a problem seeing as I've done it before with no issues. Any ideas?

You are probably gonna need to give a little more info than. Year, model , engine? Car runs fine? Or car doesn't run at all? Engine codes?

Fur real man. Provide info if you're looking for help.

Check your battery connections and check your ECU connections. Might be something corroded or a loose connection. That is the best case scenario lol...

It's a 2010 GS Hatchback 2.5L with 124K. Seems to run okay after I restarted it, however the idle at a stop is a little strange and will fluctuate periodically. I dont have a scan tool.

Did you reset the ECU after doing the seafoam? Your MAF sensor may need to be recalibrated, which is done by unhooking the battery and hooking it back up.

Sounds like a bad electrical connection but it's hard to diagnose over the interwebs.

*Every* warning light? Low washer fluid, low-fuel, oil pressure, check engine, tire pressure, ABS, brake system etc.? I

Yeah I disconnected the battery and all that after seafoaming. From what I remember (I only looked at it for maybe 2 seconds before disconnecting it) the check engine light, coolant light, power steering light, low oil light, battery light, and the AT light I believe. I don't recall fuel or washer fluid turning on. So basically only the bad lights turned on

Sounds like something/harness is not plugged in and the ECU is reading errors because it isn't getting any inputs. Did you take apart/disconnect anything to seafoam it?

Nope, just a vacuum line which I reconnected properly. Im really stumped on this one, taking it to my mechanic tonight to get it professionally diagnosed. My engine has been a little funny lately (sounds like a diesel when engine is cold and in gear) so something weird is going on :(

Yeah get it checked out ASAP. It could just be something silly like a faulty connection but you never know.

Hmm sounding like a diesel engine? Does it sound normal when accelerating?

Note when I said every light: some run on the ECU, others through different connections.

If only engine-related ones: Might be bad ECU running in limp-home mode Did you get anything wet?

My mechanic ran a diagnostic and it showed no codes stored which blows me away since every bad light was on. He also looked at my Airbox and throttle body which revealed a disgusting amount of crap, so he thinks that will make it idle much better. As for that diesel noise upon a cold start and in gear, I have yet to hear from him about it. My dads 2013 Ram's v8 does it as well when it's cold outside (engine cold too in the morning)and it's in gear, so maybe it's just a thing engines do.

He also says that the ECU is totally fine

Yup once the engine warms up it goes away, sounds great accelerating
