Roof gutter clips missing / what do they do?

I have a 2006 mazda3.

I am missing the front drivers side gutter clip. Either someone stole just 1 clip, or I knocked it off and lost it.

Do I need to be worried about it not being there? Will water get in there and leak inside the interior? Should I jam some rags into there until I get it replaced?

They're for mounting the roof rack

Yeah they are for the roof racks. Shouldnt have any issues with water leaking through but to be safe cover it up and find a replacement.

OP, not a huge deal. A few people lose them and just run around with them. I've lost a couple here and there too. Don't worry about it. Just find some replacements when you can, and pop them back in. They're about $4 for a set of 2 at the dealership. Or try your hand at a local scrapyard.
