Tonight a steering problem that I had previously, escalated quickly in the span of a few km on the way home.

While turning left/right under power, my steering would make a slight cluncking noise. Once the clutch was put in, there is no noise.

Took it to jimmy on Wednesday but of course: it was not making any noise and the car was behaving like an angel. He drove me around in it because he thought I was crazy. The sound went away until last night.

This night while driving home, the car started pulling to the left and the steering wheel was beginning to wobble. I pulled over, the tires are not flat.

Right now the steering is very heavy, there is a loud clunking noise which happens when I turn corners and the car veers to the left wildly. The clunking was one click previously: now it is many loud bangs in succession.

Will have it towed to Jimmy's later on when he can look at it because I don't feel safe driving it.

Can anyone think of anything? CV joint, steering component.
Its a 2008 GS with 168K on it.

Thanks for reading. Feel free to mention me so I can get the email notification and check back.
