As you all know the weather has been very cold this last few days.
thats when i noticed the problem im having..

it seems my 3 is starving for fuel.
girlfriend used the car one night and came back told me that the light came on saying car is low!
i said ok ill go get some gas in the morning, car started fine and drove fine to the gas station (petro)
got a quater tank of gas everything was fine. drove around running errands and ended up burning that tank of gas out.
went back to petro and got a half tank of gas, car sat untill i was off to work the next morning.
everything was perfect she started up fine and drove fine.
8 hours later my shift is over.... start the car wait 3 min like i always do and drove off! notice im not getting any power... seems like the gas is being cut off
drive a little longer and grab the gf from work, car is up to operating temp and the problem does not appear again! while im driving around that night!
run that tank of gas out few days later and go to a shell station and fill the tank drive around doing errands no issue found..

now today the problem is at its worst!!
she was VERY slow to start once started she idles fine no check engine light everything is in working order.
wait 10 full min for the car to fully warm up put her in drive and she starts to vibrate like crazy!!!!
back to park wait a few min and back into drive.... no vibrations! try all gears everything is fine
so i decided to drive around the parking lot a few times to make sure i can get out onto city streets, she sputters a little but still drives without stalling... okay lets try city streets see if this problem happens at speeds over 10km!.....

it was so bad i had to limp the car home!
get her back home and pop the hood watch the motor to see whats going on! sure enough she sputters but does not stall out

im tying to get to crappy tire to get some MAF cleaner/seafoam/throttle body cleaner...have not pulled the plugs to see if one has took a shit!!

by they way there is no check engine light coming on at any point during this and the rpms do jump around when this problem starts!

maybe condensation in the fuel tank. check air filter for debris, check plugs, check voltage on battery.

+1 on the condensation. Likely getting water freezing in the fuels likes. Easiest thing to fix, so worth trying: adding a bottle of fuel-additive that deals with water. Works best if you can find an indoor place to warm things up above freezing.

check the tops of the coils for cracks. grab a bottle of watter and spray the tops of the them. if you find it starts to get worse when you spray one over another. you have a bad coil. they are not uncommon for cracking. but its like a hair line and sometimes you cant see it even when its clean/

Got a hold of a obdII reader
ill read the code tomorrow and let you know

Im hoping its just a plug that took a shit on me
i replaced the plugs on the car when i bought it at 91000
i didnt get the laser iridium plugs as i could not locate them so i got the standard ngk iridium

I doubt its A plug and more a coil. Go check them like i said to.

started this morning after taking the gf to work!

yesterday i had a quarter tank left, put $10 in at the esso station
drove hwy speeds for 40 min each way not a problem

this morning i drove a total of 10km and the problem has begun.
im back at a quarter tank again you think i got bad gas??

Did you put the PROPER oem plugs in? If so, then I would suggest its due to the O2 sensor or the harness. I've read there were issues with the O2 harness and connector for several model years.

Heres an article I found on the issue, which you can check while doing the plugs; http://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/p0131-mazda/

Personally I think the plugs may be the issue...hopefully too lol. :)

I misunderstood your last post. With new plugs then it's obviously something else...as the article says most likely the o2 sensor.

only thing i have done so far is added seafoam and 15L of 89 octane from shell..
so after i eat im going outside and letting the car run for minimum of 20 min
if that doesnt work im going to pull plugs and clean sensors etc!
after that only thing i can think of is replacing the o2 sensor

i dont know if this means anything but a fair amount of water came out my tail pipe.
id say if it was collected in a cup it would have been a quater cup or even more

let it idle for 45 min the drove it around the parking lot at various speeds.
no problems as of yet

Water in the exhaust is from condensation, most likely from driving just short runs, which is terrible on a car. I'd suggest you take it for a nice long highway drive now and on a regular basis... Also idling for 45 minutes is not good either.

I dont do short runs with this car at all.
I drive an average of 10km one way daily!!
And the day before this started I drove 100km each way.
I think there is something else going on.

if anything i idle in traffic more then i drive the car!
we have tons of construction going on so it has doubled the travel time to drive the 10 km. i could do it in 10-12 min without construction
now it takes upwards of 40 min to go 10km i honestly don't believe its because i am not driving the car!
i either got bad gas (twice in less then a year) or there is another problem with the car that i have not found yet!

I was just pointing out the main reason water would come from the exhaust. I don't know your situation, so I gave a remedy for what usually causes that symptom.
Although, short runs at near idle or low speeds can also cause it. But you say you did regular highway runs so that can't be the issue. A bad tank of gas could possibly throw that code. Try sticking to the same gas station and preferably one that is busy all the time where the their tanks gets replenished on a regular basis.

I wouldn't doubt that it could be an O2 sensor; had the same issue with my 2008 actually unfortunately.
