I have. GF does quite often. It's just like ebay.
I've bought a bunch of things from there, all good experiences.

I have purchased many items from there... I don't think I would ever order from anyone with less than 90% rating though.
The only problem I've ever had was with a damaged product that I received. I didn't have the original shipping box, and the seller made me pay the return fee on the item, which was 20% of the items value (tried to go through the sites customer service, but they said it was between me and the buyer to deal with return costs (WTF, lol)). Buyer said they will reimburse the item cost and return shipping cost when they get the item back.
I will certainly continue to buy from there, regardless of my experience.

Since they don't accept PayPal as payment, how are people paying? Somewhat hesitant about using my credit card..

I wish they had PayPal but credit cards works fine. It's not like the merchant gets to see the credit card numbers. No human should able to see the credit card info if done correctly.
AliExpress/Alibaba are way bigger than eBay/Amazon combined.

Why the hell would you be scared of using a credit card... if you don't get the goods, you can easily get your money back, and WORST case if someone ever steals your card number (which can happen just as easily at tim hortons as it could online) you call your credit card, tell them it was stolen, and the credit card's insurance pays for any fraudulent payments and gives you a new card.

Often.
Their products are hit and miss sometimes, but for as cheap as they sell, it's worth the risk.

Yep, credit card.
And they are so big that they did 9.3 BILLION dollars in sales in a 24 hour sale on November 11th of last year (of which I happily contributed to).

I see. So AliExpress acts like the middleman. We pay AliExpress and the merchants get the funds from them.

Not scared. I've bought lots of stuff online via Amazon, Ebay, etc. Just wanted some clarification.
Just don't expect genuine merchandise and expect slow 1 month shipping. Great for cables, accessories, and random knick knacks

I've ordered a few times. Cheaper than ebay, no problems here.

You can try Banggood.com if they have what you're looking for. Similar in concept, online wholesaler, 3 week free shipping from China. Accepts PayPal but AliExpress/AliBaba tends to have better selection. YMMV, just an alternative site that I like to use.

I almost bought a watch bracelet from there yesterday, which would have been my first purchase, but the slow shipping time was putting me off. Ended up going with an EU source instead, hopefully comes a bit quicker.

yea they not bad for smaller, inexpensive stuff, but just remember to read everything carefully about their product and make sure you look carefully at the images of colour and such, and its really pay for what you get kinda deal xD

Since we're on topic of buying off the internet.
Has anyone used http://global.rakuten.com/ ??
I think this is one has more japanese sources, but problem is shipping isn't included??? And doesn't state what shipping charges are. I wanna get something off this site.

That's because you're on the global marketplace, which is pretty much Japanese dominant. The American Rakuten actually used to be Buy.com.
On the global Rakuten, you're pretty much looking at a hybrid Google Translate/Real translation website. The Google part being used to translate the seller's pages.
Most of the Japanese sellers only ship domestically or limited to certain countries, so you pretty much end up using a forwarding service unless they're willing to deal with overseas shipping themselves
Forwarding service is usually charged by domestic shipping+% fee based on how much the item costs+international shipping. This also does not include duties, so be prepared to pay double or more for every global Rakuten item.

I buy there if I need something but when I do I buy lots of stuff
You must already be an addict at this site. It's hard to stop adding things in your shopping cart.

I've used this aliexpress site quite often, for lights and vinyl wraps, license plate relocate. If u don't mind waiting a few weeks u can save money. If ur not happen email seller with threats of a bad review and they'll send another one free with a number. Highly recommended

Like fletch mentioned as long as you can wait at least a couple weeks (sometimes a couple months) its just like eBay except no PayPal :(
I've bought several dashcams for $20 on Ali and all of them are still kicking so far. Just don't expect good instruction manuals with anything u buy.
