On my wife's 2010 sedan, there is a squeak coming from the rear windshield. It sounds like a styrofoam on styrofoam like noise. I removed everything from the trunk including styrofoam and the noise still occurs. Eliminated rear seats and dash, definitely coming from the glass. The only thing I found online was that there were "guide clips" used for installing the glass, which were suppose to be removed, but in some cases were not. And in cold weather can rub, and cause squeaking. Didn't find anything definitive on here, so has anyone has this problem and had it fixed. Looking for an idea on cost and where you got it fixed. Thanks.

I had this exact problem on my car and had Airport Mazda fix it under warranty during my last oil change. The car had 51K but the previous owner obviously never did the fix. If you're out of warranty, the dealer may do it as a goodwill gesture or may charge you the labour (1-2 hours max).

Ok great thanks, was the clips I mentioned? Or something else. I'm out of warranty so see how it goes I suppose.

Yes, the clips were mentioned and I saw obvious fingerprints on the glass. Looking at the workorder it's code "XXK7DCRX". Google that and click the link,

Wow that's an awesome find. Will probably do it myself. For anyone with the same problem, this is the link to Mazda's how to. http://www.rx8club.com/attachments/general-automotive-49/204856d1409279070-s-k-y-bulletins-cracking-noise-windshield-rear-windshield.pdf
