I haven't been to the dealer as of yet but I've googled this a bit.

Sometimes my car will pull my text inbox, sometimes it won't
all the time, it notifies me of the message with the contact name of whos messaging me
but sometimes it won't display the message as it isn't able to pull the inbox

Any thoughts? The S5 is fully updated using stock app with all permissions ok'd for the Mazda, my car is less than 2 weeks old (two months from production date of 01/15)

Bluetooth and everything else is okie dokie, contacts update flawlessly (even contacts I don't have in my phone, seems to pull my gmail contacts that aren't displayed).

Any guidance is appreciated!

I have this issue from time to time with my S5. You may have too many text msg's saved on your phone to load. The infotainment system tries to load every text msg from your phone individually and doesn't group by contact. Try deleting some older msg's and see if it loads faster.

Could be the phone. I had exactly the same problem with my 2014 GS, until I replaced my phone. Now the inbox functions seamlessly.

either too many texts in your inbox or emoticons/symbols in your texts will screw it up
