Forgive me if this is in the wrong thread (maybe suspension?) But please feel free to move to the appropriate section.
I swapped out my winters back to myall seasons and noticed something weird. There is an uneven amount of wheel gap across the whole car, the front left is like 2", front right is 4", back left is 4 inches, and the back right is 3"
When I bought the car, they had two brands of tires in pairs of the same size. So when I swapped them back in today I put the same branded tires at the front which also happened to have the most tread, and the other two in the back.
Is this normal? and what would be the cause of it?

And inch difference would probably mean you have different size tires altogether, most likely the sidewall. 215/30 and 215/40.... And somebody goofed. OR your springs are shot and sunk.

I'll have to double check, but I'm pretty sure the tire sizes are all correct and didn't notice the issue when I first purchased the car.
Will this effect the way the car drives in its current state?

If there's a inch difference, yes, it's going to drive very weird.

Have you moved the car yet? Jacking it up and lowering without releasing the brakes can make the suspension bind up in weird ways, which will be sorted out once you move the car a bit.

I don't know about the brakes effecting anything, but I agree the suspension may just be bound up...I would suggest driving it slowly for a bit and letting the suspension settle, even finding some speed bumps...If the odd size gaps persist, take it in and have it checked out.
This is assuming all tires are of the same size.

What I mean is, the suspension is more likely to bind up in odd ways when the handbrake is preventing the wheels from rolling when the car gets lowered back down. Especially if your car is on uneven ground.

I see your point, but it would effect the rear only. Unlikely the front would be affected, as your handbrake is only the rear brakes. But hey you never know.

Maybe the vehicle is in Park. Not all of us drive a manual.

Just an update:
I had driven the car around after making my post, and it turns out Aitch may have been right. The car evened out after being driven and I got worried a little prematurely.
As a note, the tires were in fact swapped on uneven ground and the car is a manual so that was some good insight :)
