Are regular all seasons OK for old guy for summer? 2004 3 sport gt

I'm old. Don't do a lot of highway driving but when I do 105 km hr. (secondary highways with 90 km limits). Gas pedal has never been to the metal. Around town drive for good gas mileage..never a jack rabbit start or 0-60mph attempt. Do have dedicated winter tires/wheels so about the only bad roads I'd be driving on are wet. Not out to impress anyone with the looks of my tires-just get me from A-B, don't want to spend a fortune and want them to last. OEM tires were Goodyear Eagle RSA 205/50/17 and far as I'm concerned there was absolutely nothing special about them for a so called High Performance All Season which sucked in snow. What do you think? Regular old all-seasons OK for me with my driving style? Been shopping tires the last few days and am getting more confused by the hour. Thanks for any replies.

Since you have a dedicated a winter tire, go ahead and run all seasons in the summer.

Hey old dude! Regular all-seasons will be just fine for your driving style as SFW said.

All seasons come in different forms too.

There's Touring, which is mainly for long life.
There's performance, which stick to the ground better, but sacrifice longevity
There's comfort, which is basically good ride quality, low noise.

Go with General RT43, or Continental PureContact. Both great tires, and rebates available now.

crxgsr...rt43 and conty pure contact both review well and sound good. Can Tire carries both...unfortunately, of all the sizes they carry they do NOT carry 205 or 215/50/17. I'll call tomorrow and see if they can get them. Other than a small independent expensive tire shop and 2 dealers, CTC is the only other option for getting tires here in this small community.

OOPS...CTC does offer Conty Pure Contact in 205 or 215/50/17. Had a senior moment and looked at sizes for Conty true contact which are not available in 205 or 215/50/17. GTRT43's aren't available in 205/215 from CTC listings but available on General Tire Web Site.
