Was fiddling around in engine and disconnected this piece (picture). Now the warning light for engine check is always on....
Is there a way to fix?

Did you connect it back properly? Get a code reader and clear the code and see if it comes back on. Or it could be coincidence that a celo came on and may not be related to what you touched.

An easy thing to try if you don't have a code reader would be to disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes, reconnect and see if your CEL is gone.
Not normally a good thing to disconnect wires while the car is running. So many sensors will trigger a CEL if they don't receive a signal while the car is running.

It should be connected properly. Re-seated it and all with the clip. I did not disconnect the battery yet Sonic - could try that. As for removing, I was trying to figure out why there is this constant ticking (almost like something caught on the belt) when the car idles.
Finally fixed the issue of a rattle / clicking when accelerating around 1600 RPM and it was a bad tensioner pulley.... then was trying to figure out this issue and found this online on a video:
that's the intake manifold flapper valve. if you pop the cover off the engine, and look at the intake manifold you will see 2 electrical connectors on the intake. Remove, with the engine warm and making the noise, the passenger side connecter by pressing the clip and gentle pulling it free, the Noise should stop. If the noise stops you need to replace the intake manifold as I think it's one whole assembly.
Advice taken on unhooking while running...
Would it be worth my mechanic to read the code anyways? Could always reset it I guess and see if it comes back.

Sorry for the late reply. Appreciate the gesture. I had it scanned and cleared at a local mechanic - it had to do with that plug on the solenoid valve, so that's all taken care of.
Except the damn rattling when accelerating in lower gears around 1600RPM is now worse. I'm going to lose it. Taking it in monday to a different place to try and diagnose.
Sounds like a rattling of an old 80s' vehicle in the cold winter.

Diagnosis will most accurately show what is at stake. Don't wait to much.
