Curious. MY OEM tires are 205/50/17 with load index of 88 and V speed rating. Seeing as how car won't do more than 118mph is it necessary to go with V speed rating on replacement tires. V is 149mph. T is 118, U-124, H-130. When on highway (not that often) drive around 64 mph max unless passing for a few seconds. As long as tire has an 88+ load index would it be ok to put T, U, or H speed rated tires on. Sorry for asking so many tire related questions lately. Appreciate any replies.

General answer is, "it's your car, you do what you want with it".
If it's a lease, then put what was original OEM spec back on it.

Basically, asking like:
Is it okay run run with brake pads at 30%?? 20%?? 10%?? 5%??
it's whatever you feel comfortable with. If you're not comfortable with it, play it safe, and put back the same spec or higher on.

Thanks crxgsr. I don't know if I'm comfortable or not. Don't know if I should be comfortable or not. Guess the question I'm asking is, if I don't drive very fast or very much is it somehow dangerous and risky to use 88 T instead of V speed rated tires on my own car. Like, is the T rated tire going to do something horrible when the V rated one wouldn't? I don't know.

Are you ever going to drive 180 km/h? No?
Then nothing to worry about.
You'd be more concerned with the load index assuming you haul an absolute load of crap in your car. But seriously a level or two in difference of speed rating and load index you have nothing to worry about

Anytime brother, like I said; you really have nothing to sorry about.
If you're using like... Canadian tire's website and how they don't recommend switch speed/load profiles its just so they can't be held liable.

What load index/speed rating tire to get for the 3 is no longer an issue. I traded er in yesterday (Fri) on a Kia Sportage LX 6spd ATX AWD due to my Mazda rusting issues.
Still have to get summers for our Acura, at some point, and all your comments have been helpful. Thank you all for your feedback...much appreciated.
