Hi All,

I went to my local Mazda dealership today to have my summer tires/rims installed. Unfortunately, they were not able to do the work. I was informed that I need hub centering rings to ensure a proper hubcentric fit with those wheels. These were not included when I purchased the rims. The rims are 18x8" Enkei Raijin's with 40mm offset and 72.6 bore diameter. The car is a 2014 Mazda3 GS Sedan. Can anyone tell me exactly what size hub centering rings I need?

Thanks very much,

JR.

Take your car to one of the Tire sponsors here on the forum. They'll be able to size and provide the proper hub centering rings and do the wheel change over for you.

Perhaps you could even try going back to where ever you bought the wheels in the first place.

Buy the rings for 2$ and install them yourself... Unless you need the tires mounted on the rims too

XTOTHEL has it listed correct. Shouldn't cost more than $20 for the set of four (maybe more if you're want aluminum rings instead of plastic)

Thanks everyone for the fast replies.

I'm located in London so I probably won't be able to visit the forum sponsors.

Now that I know what size I need any advice on where to get them?

I found some on 1010Tires.com that are 72.62 - 67.1mm. Is that what I need?

Any wheel & tire shop should have them in stock. Call around.

I guess my question now is an outer diameter of 72.62 close enough to 72.6? I'm having a hard time finding exactly 72.6 but lots of places have 72.62. .02mm sure doesn't seem like much...

I'd like to have the answer before going into the shop if possible.

0.02mm is no difference. They're probably just showing more decimal places. You're talking about 200th of a mm...

You'll be fine. Get the rings.

Thanks again for the help everyone! I got the hub centric rings locally and finally got the new wheels installed.

They are 18x8" Enkei Raijin rims wrapped with 215/45R18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 rubber.

Super psyched to have them on the car. My first mod!

Nice choice!

You'll like those tires too. Lots of my customers like them. Great balance of noise, treadwear, summer grip, and not immediately dying if you get caught in snow.

Has anyone used DAI 73.1mm OD 67.1mm plastic hub rings?

Bought a set in April and they were easy to get in the rim, but didn't sit nice on the hub.

Went to rotate tires today and all 4 are cracked and broken. Place I got em from gave me a new set for free and again these were difficult to get on the hub.

I wire wheeled the hub and rim and still was a PITA... Wouldn't fit all the way on the hub without a little persuasion.

Did my best to make sure I put them on straight both times and still they werent easy to put on.

Tried a bit of grease to help too and nadda

Do these rings just suck?

I've never used DAI stuff, just whatever was on hand at wherever I was at. Only have experience with plastic, and so far have held up fine.
