Hi,
I have an old half shaft laying around and I wanted to rework it back to new.
I only need to replace the boot that is torn. My car is 2010 Mazda3, 2.5L, manual
Does anyone know if the outer part of the half shaft (the part that mates with the wheel hub and contains the ball bearings) is able to be disassembled from the shaft? I've seen on the internet that it can be removed on most shafts, but I was just trying to get that part off with no luck.
I've read the 2.3L half shaft is not serviceable, maybe this is true for the 2.5L as well?
