Hello everyone I just picked up some used street unit passenger and driver motor mounts. The mounts are in great condition. I want to install them on my 06 hatch 2.3l. I took apart the mounts to paint the metal brackets as they where rusting a little. I asembled it all back together and I am now thinking if the angle of the mounts has to be set before it goes into the car. I mean the bolt where it goes through the polyurethane bushing. Would I have to tighten it to the exact angle before it goes into the car, or just snug it up by hand and put it into the car then tighten when the engine settles down. Anyone out there have these on your car? Did they already come tight from factory or loose? Please help!!

I have one on for the past month now. What brand do you have on from street unit? This is what I have on http://www.streetunit.com/SURE_Motorsports_Torq_S3_Passenger_Motor_Mount_p/sure0549-3.htm

Just curious, did you get the street, aggressive or race mount? Yours has a black bolt near the bottom, the bolt function is to hold the polyurethane bushing in place.

Just tighten it till snug to hold the bushings and if you need a rear mount brand new from street unit? I have one for 50, I paid 130 for it. Just pm me:headbang

I have the street mounts. Okay I will snug them up and then once they are in the car and the motor settles it around I will tighten it down.
