I am a new owner of a Mazda speed3 '08 :D

I am having an issue that I am not sure if it is me or the car. I am not new to manuals I have been driving one for quite some type however I am fairly new to the more sporty manuals.

My issue:

When start my mazda in first gear, under heavy acceleration when shifting from 1st to 2nd I get a small jerk. Same issue happens from 2nd to 3rd, but after that the jerk seems to go away for the most part. I am shifting around 5000 RPM give or take. The clutch isn't anything I am not use to, it is a little farther back then some I have drove but not the worst. Is this a problem with my shifting? When going a normal speed this issue does not occur. Only when under heavy acceleration.

My only thought is that I am either releasing the clutch to fast, but I am not 100% sure. Any thoughts or advice to try would be greatly appreciated.

5k shifting, eh? :D

There is going to be jerking around from the soft rubber mounts. It's more pronounced with the stock mounts, but even with the stiffer 3rd party mounts you will feel it (but greatly reduced).

Do you know if these are stock mounts or 3rd party?

Could also be timing of the shifts/clutch.

I am going to assume Stock. I tried to get all the information from the seller when I was buying it as far as I am aware only a cool air intake, inlet, BOV was put into it other than that he had no other information.

Now when you are talking about rubber mounts. What is the piece actually called? Rear motor mounts? Is that what we are discussing? again I am fairly new to the more "sporty" cars.
