This suddenly started happening, no warning at all
When I turn the car on, it won't say 'Hello', and none of the buttons are responsive for the radio. Clock and Info don't work either. When i turn the light on, the upper lights blink really fast. And If I listen carefully, I can hear the CD tray trying to eject every few seconds. After me sitting there for 5-10 minutes, it fixed it self! Then when I took the key out and re-started, the problem was back, and then went away after a few minutes again.
I tried resetting by unplugging the battery + depleting the capacitors, and same issue!
Has anyone had this issue? I'm completely stumped here.

well to update my own issue, I pulled the fuse for a few minutes and put it back, no dice, so I kept the fuse out for a few days, and voila it's back to normal again. weird.

I wonder what tripped it out. If you blow a room fuse you loose function of it completely. I learned the hard way. Although to go aftermarket is simple as hell on these cars.

I'm just curious as to which fuse you pulled out for a few days? Was it the room fuse under the hood?

Hmm I've had some bad luck with fuses. Or good luck if you figure you didn't blow a serious component lol.

Yes the room fuse. My power locks and door sensors run off the same fuse too.

Unfortunately this didn't help my problem. But I'm almost certain there's corrosion or a fault somewhere along the room fuse line.... Which really sucks. I need to take the panel off to have a look at the wires but I don't know how without feeling like I'm gonna break it

If you still need help with this issue, let me know. I have some spare units lying around we can test with, or I can examine your stock radio.

the car is in Halifax now unfortunately.
it still comes and goes, but lately it seems to be more often working than not.
