Hi guys/Gals,

I am hoping someone out there can help. I have a 2007 Mazda3 2.3l that completely randomly goes into limp mode and gives me code p0753 (AT light goes on and car drops to third). This occurs completely randomly. Somtimes on city streets, somtimes on the highway. If I turn the car off then on, it resets and is fine. Sometimes it is fine for days at a time. I have scoured the net and found many people with the same issue, but nobody has posted a resolution to this problem. I have cleaned the connections to all transmission sensors and the TCM, and this code still gets thrown. I checked the resistance to the a solenoid and is within spec. I am at a total loss now. Did a drain and fill twice (6L total) and still have this issue. Does anyone have insight into this?

Thanks in advance!

Having the same issue as me right now p0753 is shift solenoid A which needs to be changed if I am correct. My car is throwing p0766 which is shift solenoid D, I am go to the scrap yard on Saturday and I'm going to take all the solenoid and maybe grab a spare transmission because it's 50 dollars all you can carry day. I'm going to change my solenoid and see if that fixes my issue and I will report back to you.

Hello 74sickness, was the issue resolved by changing the solenoid? my forum search pointed to the faulty TCM which is freaking expensive though..

It did not fix my issue, replacing the transmission fixed my issue, but I only paid 100 for a new transmission so it wasn't bad, do you have a gen 1 or gen 2 because I have a spare gen 1 and gen 2 tcm laying around.
