so as you all know.. i ordered my 3 :D
now.. in the next week i will probably buy a set of W300 Hankooks with 16\\\" steelies. I would like to get rid of the RS-As. Anyone know places (used tire places probably) who would take the goodyears off my hands? I\\\'m going to call around this week and report the results so that those who want to trade or sell the used tires, can do so. But if anyone knows right away, lemme know.. thx

There\'s a store called \"2nd Time Round\" right at the corner of Kennedy and Progress in that, according to their name, sells second hand tires.

you\'d be hard pressed to get anything over $150 for those tires. the OEM RS-As are garbage and tire shops know it....they can\'t sell it as \"new\" because, technically, it is used
i tried to \"trade up\" my tires at the place i bought my T1-S (before someone stabbed one of my tires) and, at the time, the guy was like \"i can\'t give you much for these since there aren\'t many cars besides the 3 that come in those size....the only other one <at the time> is a porsche and those guys won\'t buy the RS-A\"
best thing to do is, either ask the dealer to keep the tires and give you new ones (with a credit for the RS-A) or
keep the RS-A in case you sell the car, that way the buyer gets the RS-A, rather than some expensive summer tire

John\'s Tire will take them as well but I was going to say you\'ll probably only get 20-30 bucks per tire, they\'ll probably sell them for around 40-50 bucks each.
Your best bet is to put an ad in the buy and sell and say best offer. Take offers until you get someting you\'ll accept. I\'ve had an ad in the buy and sell for my 15\'s and nobody\'s nibbled. I\'ll have to reduce them pretty soon. Unless you\'re virtually giving them away :sarc you won\'t see much action....

Guys,
Are the Goodyear Eagle RSAs THAT bad? I\'ve had my car for about 2 months now and I don\'t really have a problem with the tires at all.

i am going PURELY on reviews..
and i hear wet performance is lacking..
and b/c i\'m getting winters.. also might as well get nice summers.. instead of just all seasons.. and i think it may be easier to sell an \'almost\' new tire rather than one with 1 season or more of driving on it..

when you can take an \"O\" hwy on-ramp at 25+ km/h above the RS-A and still not experience the limits of the chassis; as well as drive in a torrential downpour and feel as if the road is dry (with the T1-S) ...then, yeah, the RS-As are that bad (to me anyway) :)
Considering that I was used to the Michelin Pilot Sports on my Maxima (which had a rear sway bar as the only suspension mod), i was disappointed in the way that I couldn\'t drive the 3 the way i used to drive the maxima......until i changed the tires ;)
it all really depends on how you drive

I can\'t speak about the RSA\'s because mine came with the Toyo Proxes A18. I drove them for a month and in that time found them to be really hard, noisy, so so in the rain and locked up under moderate braking.
None of these problems have been apparent once I went aftermarket.

So for the owners of the 17\"s with Goodyear Eagle RSAs, how many of you guys & girls are planning to upgrade your tires next summer?

me :D
ok.. so it looks like a used tire place will give you up to $20/tire .. some places were saying 10bux a tire or 50 for the set.. ouch.. so 2 options. sell privately (not much demand for those tires) :( or drive them to the ground.. hmm.. i think i might got with the latter option unless i can get a decent deal.. *sigh* i really wanted those KWD-2s :(
so i guess not anymore me.. i dunno.. this sux..

I\'m thinking to upgrade to a set of good summer after winter ... and thinking how to \"get rid of\" the RSAs ... it seems that trade-in doesn\'t work for these suck so-called performance tires since nobody wants them :(
I\'ll probably stick with stock size when i upgrade ...

I like them Toyos, not good in the rain but i\'ve yet to make them squeal in a turn.

I\'m thinking of getting some 17\" winters on the stock rims, then some nice fairly light 18\"s for next summer :D

Majic, put them in the buy and sell. You\'ll have guys interested, especially guys who don\'t care about what tire it is and want to replace bald tires going into winter. I just got rid of my 15\" Toyos for $45 a tire. An ad is only a couple of bucks, it\'s worth a shot and you can do it completely online. The good thing is that you get an online ad that\'s posted immediately and a print ad that comes out every Friday.
The 17\'s are more of a specialty tire so you may have more difficulty. Good luck man!

After 13000kms I am pleased with my Goodyear Eagle RSA\'s. I guess it all boils-down to how people drive.
Another key point to note, ensure your tires are properly inflated as this can significantly affect your ride performance etc.
