Hello,

I'm looking at purchasing rims for my 2105 mazda3 GX in Titanium Flash. Looking for something in gloss black, or machine faced, or even matt. The problem is I have no idea how they would look on the car. I have tried using the wesites that will allow you to see a picture of the car with the choice of rim, but the picture is small and not very good.

There are so many brands and stules it's hard to make adecion. So I'm looking for opinions on what you think would look good. The rims will be 18inch. Tires will be something in the mid to high end. I was originally thinking of going with a low profile tire, but I drive alot and would like a smoother ride, so that is probably not going to be an option.

Here are a few of my choices.

I don't know why people say this.

The tire profile will depend on the rim size.

For your car, 215/45R18 is the proper size. 45 is going to be the profile.

Otherwise, you'll go with a 235/40R18, with 40 being the profile

But.... the sidewall height will be SAME in both cases.

unless of course, you're going to go with the improper size, which is never suggested...

Low pro tires only if you wanna go low low....other wise use proper tires for the rim size

and oh yea... #3 is my vote...vossen type looking rims will look good on gen 3

Have to agree with Mazdy .. #3 gets my vote, just because it really goes with the gen 3s. And also i would suggest going with the proper tire size 215/45/18 to play it safe

The Fast Wheels website is capable of showing you exactly what the rims would look like on the car. It even lets you change the body colour of the car.

4 or 5 in a glossy black. I'm not a huge fan of rims with wide gaps, just my personal opinion.

The tire profile will depend on the rim size.
..

It's partially because he's comparing OEM tires, which are what, 15"? Too low profile 18 tires. There will definitely be a difference in ride quality, but although it will be firmer, it will also be more controlled when turning. I remember how squishy the original tires can be.

However the rest is obviously true. If you're set on 18" rims, the sidewall height can't vary much or the rolling diameter of the wheels will change and your speedo will be off. Either of the two tire options presented falls in the "low profile" category.

I have the same car 2015 Titanium Sport and I am in the same dilemma. Not sure what to go for.
Weirdly enough, I am a fan of more "filled" rims if you know hat I mean, but i still like the #3 you have there.

When are you thinking on buying?

Thanks for all the responses.
I don't know how to do the multi reply so I'll try to answer everyone below.

The car is not lowered. I am currently looking at different shops. A couple local to me in Hamilton and 2 of the sponsors on here. Just a matter of making a decision and finding the best price/service

Do post pics when you get the wheels. I would love to see how it looks.

Nice! I think once/if you lower the car, that is gonna look awesome! The color works very well with the car. Good choice. Now get some low! ;)

I would love to but it's not practical. This is a family car, plus I drive to Kitchener everyday. Driving in the snow with it lowered would not be fun.
