Car shaking excessively

Recently when I release the clutch in first gear the car shakes. Why is the car shaking in first gear? I noticed it doesn't shake in 2nd, 3rd or any other gear except for 1st gear. What could be causing this? As soon as it is put into gear one and my I start to put my clutch up into friction point it happens, it does not happen when the clutch is fully pressed down. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is it shaking or hopping? If its hopping and to some extent shaking, it could be a motor-mount is gone...Pretty common with the Mazda3.

Did you get a chance to get it checked why it is shaking? Mine shakes at 2 gear not too sure if the engine mount needs to be replaced. :(

If you where at Jimmy's why didn't you just ask him to look at your mounts? Im sure yours is due if your past 300,000km

check your motor mounts

First gear is harsher so most likely the motor mount is giving slot of play.

If you where at Jimmy's why didn't you just ask him to look at your mounts? Im sure yours is due if your past 300,000km
Yeah I got it checked at Jimmy's he said I need left engine mount to be replaced. 10-15 mins job not too expensive. :)
