Hi everyone.

I have a coolant leak on the driver side of the engine.

I'm a good mechanic the only problem is I don't what is this part.

So the leak is between the plastic case and the motor casing.

Here's a video of the leak

That leak appears to be from your EGR (Exhaust gas recirculation valve gasket). The EGR helps with fuel economy and it has a coolant run that goes through it to keep it cool.

You may need to replace the gasket for it which is simple to do but I would trust it to someone who is experienced. Only real way to diagnose where the leak is coming from is to remove the parts when they are cool and hunt down the part that looked like where the fluid was coming from.

What could be the reason why I burst this gasket?

Might have been faulty, degraded over so many heat cycles or just because it doesn't like you lol... it's a component that gets a lot of carbon and other stuff running through it.

It's not a huge issue just a small gasket to replace and you can clean out the EGR at the same time, which could help get pick up a few more kms per tank.

The gasket exists and should only be a couple bucks. I would use the real gasket and not some kind of putty. It's not a huge job but I would recommend professional do it if you don't have experience working on cars.
