My tail pipe snapped where it welds into the muffler and I hope to have a friend weld it back soon. Besides being loud I things have been fine for a few hundred km but today the CEL was on and it reads p0131, o2 sensor. On the ride home I notice shaky rpms so intermittent power at speeds under 100kmh

Any thoughts if this is resulted to my exhaust issue and if it will resolve onecenter welded or is it unrelated?

I was looking more into this and it seems p0131 is a code for the primary o2 sensor in the engine compartment, so it seems unlikely that it is related to any o2 sensor near the CAT my exhaust issues, but if anyone thinks otherwise your comments are appreciated.

Did it snap off without the muffler?

Reset the code and now getting error 2251 but seems less shakey with the rpms.

Dealership quoted $184 for the upstream o2 and $214 for the downstream.

Most likely just a coincidence that the o2 sensor is shot.
If you can replace it yourself its cheaper to buy online. You'll need a o2 sensor tool.

Rockauto? Seems the socket is about $15 on c tire. Keep reading not to get a universal o2 sensor but keeping this car at most 8 months more.

I got one off rockauto and been working fine over a year now.

I have the socket too if you want to borrow. I'm on north side of Brampton.
