different type of motor oil: castrol, mobil 1, etc

Is there a difference between the castrol edge titanium (yellow bottle) and a regular castrol (white bottle) or mobil 1 ??? I'm just bought the castrol edge titanium (yellow bottle) because it was on sale at canadian tires.
