Dark knight rises had aprox. $1M in pre-order ticket sales. SW is over $6M as of now according to CP24 this morning.

I showed this too my dad who was unaware and he looked like a kid on Christmas. I have never seen him exited for a movie release like this. He lined up for the first screenings of A New Hope

soccerboy1491 if you decide to watch any of them, start with episode 4, 5 & 6. The ones Made in the 70s/80s. IMO Avoid episodes 1, 2 & 3 like the plaugue.....

The only star wars movie I have ever seen was "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)". Not sure if I should watch "the force awakens" or it's a lost cause for me.

Watch the original trilogy (Episodes IV, V, VI) to get the back story. The prequels were made for children and are hard to watch as an adult.

Thing is, if you didn't watch them as a kid you might not enjoy them as much. Dunno if it is the slightly dated effects or if our perception of good acting has changed in general, but I've tried to get some of my friends that never saw the original trilogy to watch them, and they didn't enjoy them... at all. In fact they laughed thru so many parts I just wanted to turn it off.


Regarding the teasers/trailers... I feel that there are so many trailers coming out that if you watch them all it's going to ruin the actual movie. Only watched the first one.

Yeah, that's the problem. Every time I get to watch an action/adventure/fantasy film from 30-40 years ago, I just cringe the whole time. Can't take it seriously. There are some decent dramas and few comedies from that era that still get me.

They need to stop reveling so much in trailers. Its unnecessary for a huge title like Star wars.

in one of the previous trailers; the Millennium Falcon only crashed through the trees, now it crashes on the ground after busting through the trees....

Also the Ki Lo Ren character now has dark hair? Han Solo and Chewie seem to help the two leads off of Tatoueen like the episode IV?
