I replaced the 3 interior light bulbs with LED (2015 GT), however dimming doesn't seem to work properly... Dimming is in "steps" somehow, not as "fluid" as the regular bulbs. I was told this is normal, this is how the LED works. This would be bearable, since the light output is much better and whiter (6000k).

What I don't like is that after I close the doors, so when the lights are supposed to dim for a while, the LED is flickering a bit (not too badly, but noticeable), instead of dimming; is this also normal for LED replacements? The supplier sent me replacements but there is no difference, so it doesn't seem to be a defect. They were pretty expensive... I won't bash the supplier since their customer service is excellent, but I wonder if this behavior is normal.

Thanks!

I would say it is in the construction( how the circuit is made) of the LEDs.

LEDs by themselves should dim smoothly. The manufacturer might've included something to prolong the life of the LED by flickering it at a rate that's unnoticeable when enough power is supplied, but slows down considerably, thus noticeable by you, when power is gradually turned down, dimming.

So to solve this issue, you might need to purchase from a different manufacturer.

^seconded, likely that manufacturer. The ebay LED's i bought last year operate as smooth as regular bulbs, just brighter and whiter.

I am thinking this may be due to how the lights dimmed by the computer... it probably steps the voltage down in fairly large increments. Regular bulbs would not flicker as the thermal inertial of the tungsten filament would act to smooth out the stepping. For the other posters ^^ what year are your cars?
