My bluetooth connection stopped working about 3 weeks ago, have been unable to fix it. I have tried multiple times going through the bluetooth setup in the vehicle, it will randomly stop working at random times and spots during the process, it cuts itself off and turns off the bluetooth setup. :bang

Could it be a damaged module? or maybe needs a reset? Would I have to take it to a dealership to get it fixed?

All help is appreciated.

Thanks

Samsung Galaxy S5, it works with my other bluetooth devices, just not with my car, it had been working fine connected to my car for 10-11months

weird. cant say they are common for Bluetooth problems. have you tried to pair it through the radio and by voice control on the steering wheel? also when you are pairing the vehicle is parked? stopped and not moving?

I have been trying to pair it with voice commands through the steering wheel while I am parked. Only way it would allow me to initially when I did my first setup after buying the car.

I would try and delete all pairs in the phone and in the car. make sure nothing is paired at all even other phones. check if your phone has any updates. I have had that screw up my Bluetooth in my2010 with my note 2.
then see what happens. try another phone at worst case and see if it will pair., if not it could be possible the Bluetooth system has taken a shit.

I had an unresponsive Bluetooth a few years ago in my 2010. As I recall, I had to pull the fuse to reset it. To be honest, disconnecting the battery would be easier.

could you not pull the pdi or room fuse to reset the radio?

Sure. I guess that's what I'm saying. I did that and it worked to get Bluetooth working again. A hard reset. I just remember having to pull a few fuses to find it, and even dropping and losing one in the process. I thought it would be "radio" but there are a couple, and there is I believe a fuse panel in each kick panel, and one under the hood. Pretty easy to pull the ground off the battery. That's requires no searching or consulting of manuals .

I agree with my old friend booter22, they are not overly common for Bluetooth issues...... That being said we have done a few Bluetooth modules as of late! The reset option is def a good first step before coughing up the dough for the module!
