Artist/Track Names not Appearing when running music off of a USB stick

Hi All,

So I'm wondering if anyone has run across this problem and can help me out.

I'm driving a 2015 Mazda3GS I have found that when I plug a USB stick with some music on it, sometimes the track and artist names show up in the display (when I'm scrolling through tracks/albums deciding what to listen to) BUT for some albums, the artist/album/track names each just show up as '?' For one of the albums, the album name shows up, but when I open it, all of the tracks are '?'.

They all seem to be named tracks if I open them in iTunes or whatever. Can anyone explain whatever naming convention I need to follow so I can format these files on my computer to show up properly in my car?

I had to go to the actual music file and update properties for the info to show.

if you keep your music organized in a consistent hierarchy, http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ this program is a great way to mass tag your music.. you can set up formulas to insert tags based on directories to automatically get Artists, albums, etc as well as keep consistent formatting for file names

Some music files will have the Song / artist info in properties and will show properly, the ones that don't will not show.
If you ever used winamp on your computer, its a similar thing unfortunately.
