I had this problem for a little over a year. The only thing that worked was if I made 3 attempts in a row to close the window. It would on the 3rd attempt actually close [as in: click, click, close]. I was a running joke because it only worked for me. Even if someone else tried the "3rd time's a charm" trick they would not have success.

It was the switch that needed to be replaced.

Hahaha same here, window would only go up for me, others would fail lol. Yeah and definitely the switch.

Could also be a bad relay....it's been a while since I've looked at the wiring diagram for the windows though... I can look if you like.

Go to the scrapyard and find another switch. I need to do this as now it takes like 10 times to finally close my damn window lol.

Ya pretty common on first gen!
Try wiggling the switch while you pull up.... At least until you do a permanent fix😊

this is a pretty old post but my window now works, no problem and goes up everytime! All i did was take the switch out, take off the bottom cover for it, and used compressed air. Been running like new since like.. july.

I went to Nicklins. Paid 5 bucks and got a new switch module and bam she works mint.

It's still weird that I lift the button and it just closes. It doesn't take 100 times before it'll close.
