My plate sticker was getting due this december so I went to the nearest MTO and to my dismay they asking me for Emotion test since my car was year 08(I regret not having the 2year sticker). I went to north york area and get to this one emotion test center and holy shayt I failed picture below. I was careless and forgot that I have this CEL on thru this years, I know its nothing that serious because been driving it with no problem at all and car runs perfect as it should be but I should have done the CEL diagnostic myself and fixed it before going to emotion test center.

My question is since the emission test center already gave me the readings was it still possible to do my own diagnostic reading like take it to some mechanic I prefer and maybe came out with only few problem codes and save me from this massive fixes in the process tell me your opinion about this also can someone help me interpret what this codes are thanks in advance.

I can't speak with a lot of experience on those codes. But I drove my Protege 5 for a year with a CEL, when it came to the emission test there were a few problems but just replacing the oxygen sensor solved everything. Not saying that's necessarily the exact case here, but hopefully it's not a huge fix.

Also, emotion test lol.

Seeing as all the codes say bank 1 sensor 1, I would take a pretty good guess that if you changed that one, at least most of your reasons for the light to be on would go away. Not sure about idle air. Might be controlled by that as well.

Only other thing I would see besides the sensor could be a broken wire, to have all those codes at once.

They would not have allowed you to purchase the 2nd tear ticket because an emissions test would have been due

If that was the case every other year you'd buy the sticker for 2 years and never have to do the testing. They're not that dumb....

Should've had the light reset and asked someone on here before taking it to get your e-test. In some cases replacing the oxygen sensor is not required. I just sold an 05 2.0 that read secondary oxygen sensor. First I had the light reset then the morning of the test gave it a good run on the highway.

Passed no problem.

BTW if your car needs an emission test in the next year and you try to purchase a 2 year sticker, the system will not let you. The system actually tells you that you need an emission test.
