Hi all, been lurking around for a while now - this is my first post.

Changed my oil last week (second oil change ever) car has 13000 Km at Mazda Markham since it's close to work ....

First issue was the next morning I found my access panel dangling under the car, took the car back and they screwed it back, however this kept me thinking what else did they forgot - checked the oil level and it is way over at the middle of the "twist" on the dipstick that is more than in between LOW and HIGH level mark.

Should I remove some of the oil, should I go back and ask them to do it ... needless to say I HATE THEM BY NOW :(

There is a funny humming noise coming from the engine when idling with the engine at operating temperature, it was not there before, kind of like a bad AC compressor bearing, or bad fan bearing, water pump etc (had them all on other cars I know how it sounds LOL) it comes and goes at regular intervals ... tested with everything off AC, Radio etc.

Go talk to them.

I had been taking my car exclusively to Avante Mazda before I had Jimmy took care of it. Even tho, I still double-check the car before I leave the dealership.

Rescheduled a visit for today after they tried to convince me that the 5 liters on the invoice is how the system prints, but behind the scenes they fill up with less ... so they charge me for .5L that goes to waist LOL.

After I insisted that I need this fixed they agreed to check the car again.

Do yourself a favor and avoid the Markham Mazda dealership altogether. Bought my car there, had a bad experience with them and never been back since. Best decision ever. If you read the review section you can see the other members negative reviews.

NEVER AGAIN, I was lazy and went there because they are close to my office, learned my lesson the hard way...

After my second visit, the service manager apologized, she was really nice, however that does not change how the techs operate there, total lack of knowledge. The guy at the front desk excuse was that this model comes with 2 types of engine and the technician got confused ...I wonder how much do they put in the 2.0 if you fill up 5 liters in the 2.5...

Not verifying the oil level as part of the job isn't confused.... it's a tech cutting corners to slam as many cars through his bay as he can manage.

This thread epitomizes why I started doing my own maintenance. May be a different story for warranty purposes, but even then I'm pretty sure so long as you have proof of your changes you're fine on the warranty front..
