Hi folks , I just want to share my experience with Eonon unit D5163Z that was installed on 2010 MZ3.
The reasons I have bought this unit is : price , look, features .
The reason I hate the unit : not stable, poor support .
Currently I had some problems with my illumination on the buttons , it went very low at the point you can't see is lit up during the day, at night still very low . I have asked Eonon why is that , sent them a video and after two days they sent me a file and instruction on how to upgrade the unit . Big mistake for me asking :bang . I tried to do the "upgrade" but didn't went as expected and now I have no radio and back-up camera :bang:bang:bang. Their instruction were not accurate or the filers are wrong ones because what I saw on the screen during installation didn't match with what they told me . It did the install without any input from me and I couldn't enter any password or selections as they told me to do. I hate it ! I asked them again yesterday what is going on , no answer so far .
So if any of you have a small problem like I had, don't ask for help from these guys unless you don't care about the unit .

They sent new instructions (after a buddy at work translate my message in Chinese) with some missing steps , but very important where you can select the tunner ,for the complete installation and I got the radio back. I still have to check why camera doesn't work and maybe try to fix the original problem I have, low brightness for buttons when light are on.

This seems to be common with these Chinese units, some owners swear by them while other owners swear at them.:bang

Could the brightness problem be because I have two amps installed ?

only if your interior lights dim as well.

in the last email I got from Eonon they give me some heads up for "repair" time and what other alternative I have :
"
And please kindly note that it will take about 3-6 months to repair it.
And in general, we suggest our customer take a refurbished head unit instead or get a coupon and pay the price difference to get a new head unit.
Hope to hear from you.
