I'm looking for the rgb colour shift ones though, but having a difficult time finding ones that dont look like cheap ebay shit. ( yknow, the ones that all you see when theyre turned off is this: https://scontent-yyz1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/12592440_10156477668875007_8492020875829126807_n.j pg?oh=6ffcbd5c559ecfcea204a87ea9f80bd2&oe=576EF0DB

Tacky as ****.....

I am hoping for more of the ccfl halo look but its proving difficult to find ones for the 3 because of it needing to be half cresent on the 2nd set..... they have ones that are ccfl type but im findign none with rgb colourshift.. its all just white.

So i did some digging and even though i hate using ebay.... i found these :http://www.ebay.ca/itm/0408-MAZDA-3-Multi-color-RGB-LED-SMD-Flash-Angel-Eyes-Halo-Ring-Bulbs-Remote-kit-/151312154233

Was wondering if anyone out there had any opinions on if these would work/look decent or would be tacky as **** too. or know of any dealer that sells other ones for a 08 3?

Ccfl rarely performs in bright day light.
I am a retailer for Morimoto and so I'd recommend the XC RGB angel eye kit. Only comes with a full circle tho, no half crescent.

No reputable supplier sells those specific half crescent halo's. You'll have to use ccfl on eBay.

I think if you cut those Morimoto ones at the right place, you can make it a crescent

They don't work like that... That would be a $70 cut

Can you take some high res photos of the PCB(where the connector meets the PCB and around the ring)? I think there should be places that you can cut it and still have the rest work.

Going to have to trust me, and the owner of Morimoto on this one. The resistors are not mounted on the board, they are external.

Is it possible to still mount it being the full ring? Or is that not a possibility?
I've been looking at the complexity of doing this too.

I'm not sure you can, i've seen some tutorials of halo instalation that do it this way, they dremel a mall "slit" into the housing, mainly the reflector chrome piece so that the halo sits in it. https://youtu.be/xnOFQGuxm2U?t=5m53s
However i dont think we can do this because that would be completely outside the housing....
