Read the owner's manual. They have a section on "lost keys". If you dont know how to, download the pdf file from online, and keyword search "lost".

With only one key you will need the dealer to reprogram.

you'll save money if you buy a transponder blank key online like ebay then have the dealer cut and program that. I think i paid about $12 for my blank, and the fob you can find for about $20 and that you can reprogram yourself. Not sure what they charge to cut and code now, but when i did it 3 years ago, i was charged about $80, so i was in just over $100 after all said and done. better than the $400 i was quoted at the time

you can find cheaper from china but you'll be waiting a couple weeks longer

You can reprogram a unit that will open only just your specific car? From owner's manual, there is this specific number tag that is in either one of your 2 keys that is provided and mazda will need that to reprogram a blank unit.
I was quoted in 2013 for a key replacement for 50 bucks. That was mazda of bramptom

if you don't have that tag, you just need to show proof of ownership. i bought my 04 used with only one key, just showed the ownership and gave them my blank. My Gen2 had that little tag, but since i had 2 original keys, i would have been able to program a third myself

You can get a cheap $5 key cut that will open the door. Most good dealers will have a machine that can trace cut your one key. It will not start the car though.

I called Agincourt Mazda, where I bought my car,
They said cost 75$ for a key a and $110 for the programming.
Who can I contact on here for discount?
Try the affiliate dealership section and give one of them a call

If your key is just the basic black key (not flip key) its only $57 for the key.
Programing does vary by dealer.

so I got lucky, went to CT and the guy cut the key for free for me. going to call some dealerships around to see what the programming cost is.
