So I got a really sweet deal on a 2007 mazdaspeed3 and wanted to know where I might be able to find a engine for it. I've come to realize that this is going to be an expensive project but it's for the business up here in Ottawa. I'm hoping to have the project done by June 7th?? Would be open to rebuilds and or new. I've been told a hole in my engineblock. Transmission is good been, told to do a new clutch.... just cause I'm there. This was from a somewhat reputable shop up here. Who has worked on these types of cars. Not going to say his shop for reason. But yeah thanks in advance.

Part the thing out...fully...you should probably be able to clear a few thousand by the time you're done and it'll cost you a lot less than the 10k it's going to cost to rebuild the broken one.

For $700 there is likely other issues other than the blown up engine lol... You will need roughly $4000 to get a engine up and running. PM me if you want help. If you want an upgraded turbo and such you, will easily hit $10k.
If you want to "invest" your time and money into a project, it is a good learning experience but it's not financially smart if you are saving for other things.

Mind you, I'm rebuilding a MS6... so who cares about what the smart thing to do is. I built the engine over a year and found a shell after, so I spaced it apart and bought stuff on sale.

Favourite quote from my from my friends and family "it's just a mazda..."

Part out MS3 for a few grand and start on a better traction platform... lol.

I understand what needs to be done ish. I got connections. For the install. Just need a engine. Everything else is clean I'm telling you. It's worth the rebuild. It's going to get babied again till a new one comes out then I'll do a 4 year lease on it.

Just so people know the valve cover on that engine is a Gen1 so the fact that they say its from a 2010 is a little fishy. May way to open it up and take a look before buying it.

How many people need engines Vitamin M?

You still need to send them your engine which can't be all blown up. They'll charge you shipping and duties and conversion to US currency

Honestly if I lived in the US I would probably pick up a CPE built motor, but I don't live in the US

yes actually ofcourse living in US makes alot of things easier. If i lived in US i would go for speedperformance motors instead. Because those guys alot of them.

pwdunmore. i would have honestly picked up that block if you had it listed a few months before. OR if my mazda 3 sells any time soon. I have a mazda 3 2004 GT hatch for sale. It runs like a swiss watch for $2000. No engine check light will pass safety.. no one wants it lol. If you guys know anyone looking for a daily car for cheap..
