Is 225/40/18 tire recommended for 2011 mazda 3?

I have this size on my MS3. The Nankangs probably act more like a 235 in width but I had to roll my rears.

This is on 18x8.5 with 38 offset, and they just barely didn't clear (only under hard cornering during autocross).

Otherwise they work fine. Other less square tires likely fine or slightly less aggressive offset.

Oh wait just noted you're 2011 (gen 2 vs my gen 1), which I believe has more space, so yea, you're fine.

Should be fine. That's the stock tire size that comes on the Speed3 wheels.

Hey I also have a 2011 mazda 3 and I saw a listing where I could grab some 18x8 wheels ET 45 with 235/40/18. I don't wanna have to do any annoying things with the fenders. Would this fit? I have the skyactiv model

235 is not an ideal size, that said, if you are not lowered it will fit. It will have a slight impact on your speedometer reading.
