Hi.
my car: 2012 mazda 3 gs- sky (pearl white / 6sp manual)
100000km

I found that water is leaking in trunk last week.
The amount of leaking water is really small, so it is difficult to notice leaking water.
I do rust proofing every year in Krown, so there is no rust.

I don't know the location where water is leaking.
I think water is leaking in silicone seal. ( I marked in photo.)

Do you have same problem ?
Please let me know how to repaire my car.

In addition, please let me know how to remover inner panel (right).

Thank you in advance.

Mine was coming from the tail light holes/bolts. Just grab some rubber coating (rocker guard from Canadian Tire) and spray it over all holes that are around your tails.
To remove the right side panel, remove the 4 push pin clips on the hard plastic piece at the front, then the other 2 (maybe more) on the panel itself. Then pull out.

this. i sprayed a ton of sealer around the tail-lights, and it def helped.

I guess this is an issue with sedans only? Haven't had any water issues in my 2010 hatch.

I tried to find leaking point in trunk.

I was inside trunk and my friend poured water.

Water is leaking in both tail lamp.

I went to a Mazda dealership.

($25= both gasket parts, $66 = labour charge)

I loosen 3 bolts and checked gasket. the gasket is not made of rubber.

I looks like sponge. (I didn't take a photo. sorry)

Do you have good idea to fix leaking problem??

any idea is good and helpful to me.

You could buy some weatherstripping at Canadian Tire and try cutting it to length, fitting it all around the existing gasket then re-tighten the screws securely. Just an example linked below but there are different sizes available.

Failing that I would just replace the gaskets.
