I'm looking at two units, an older D5102 and the newer D5151Z by Eonon, both GPS, Bluetooth, phone capable etc. I noticed the older unit has a max power of 4x60W, and the newer one is 4x65W, but other than that what are some of the practical differences?

Looking to power 4 of these:

you should check out the android versions. Pretty sure they're the exact same as the autopumpkins. I've got an autopumpkin android system in two of my cars and they're great

Have you upgraded your OEM speakers to something more powerful? I'm concerned as to whether or not the head unit will be able to power my upgraded speakers.

I believe a member had an older model Eonon for sale recently under the classifieds. If you're interested in that one.

Yes the eonon should be able to power them no problem. Hell the stock deck powers them no problem. I've found with the eonon decks there isn't a whole lot of audio settings like true aftermarket decks have which is why I never would own one. That and I've gone way too far in car audio. But they will still run the pioneer speakers without issue.

i have the android unit (its not the latest) for my gen 1 and its got several issues with the CANBUS adapter and features that just dont work...i've spent time searching M3F to no avail. it has fully drained my car battery 3 times so far. Unless you are always hotspotting your phone i don't think its really worth all the hassle. I'm considering going back to my Kenwood unit. I can't speak for the non-android units but I will never get an Eonon again! Wasted $300 on this shit from another member :bang :flaming
