Rx8 swap?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here knew if it would be possible to swap a Mazda speed 3 engine into an rx8, and keep it rwd? Would the transmission still be able to line up?

That would be a mess from an electrical and welding standpoint just to get 260 whp. There are kits of LS swaps into rx8s which would be easier and much better.

Anything is possible, but there is a reason everybody puts an LS into them. ;)

Surprised to see very few f20 swaps. High revving, similar power, but reliable.

You'd probably need some sort of adaptor plate made up, to make the ms3 engine line up with the rx8 transmission.
Then custom motor mounts, swap over the ms3 wiring harness, pcm, etc etc.

Swap a LSx engine instead.

like everyone said, do LS swap, much common but imo, i wouldnt do a V8 swap, keep it jdm as fck lol

Yes you can swap it, you will need an NC front subframe, NC engine block mounts, NC transmission, Custom PPF, Mazda3 Dash harness,Ecu,Key,Cluster, NC miata steering rack

But realistically you would want to do a 2.5 and turbo that, the HPFP on the Disi motor will be in the firewall
